I didn't expect to receive it for at least another 3 months so imagine my surprise.  The mail in my area takes 2 weeks to get from neighbouring suburbs to me. No I don't live in the country, the bush or an isolated area (it was when I moved here though), I'm in the middle or suburbia and have an inept postal service, and an even more inept postie. The Q-Tip about the altoids tin was great. I put a magnet in the bottom of my tin to hold the pins. It helps keep spills to a minimum and elevates the pins so they are easier to grab.  Sandra

What a fantastic idea.  Here in Western Australia we have many small country towns which are separated by great distances, probably not unlike North America. I have recently started quilting. Quilting runs in my dad's side of the family as his mother and sisters all quilt. I have sewn for a number of years and then when someone gave me a whole bag of material that the person had already cut out into squares and triangles I decided that I would make a quilt.  I have decided to try and make each of my nieces and nephews a quilt and try and get them done by Christmas so I have been searching the internet for the past couple of weeks trying to find some patterns for the kids that they would really enjoy.  When I was about to give up I found QuiltBus.com. I think that your website is excellent and would recommend it to any one that needs to find a pattern for a quilt. Today I received the batting samples you sent me and I am very impressed! I was very surprised how thin it was, even the request that I would need, because my current quilt (first, big, own design) has poly batting that is double this thickness so you can imagine why it has taken me so long to do those cross hatch quiltlines!!! horrible. next time I will be quilting like a dream!!!! thanks again, and till soon.  Berti in the Netherlands

Kris, I think I already let you know that I DID receive the thangles and patterns. I have had a lot of fun going through everything. I wish I had 24 hrs a day to sew, and not have to worry about working! My big dream is to make a living selling doll quilts. I loved playing with dolls when I was a kid, and my mom used to hand stitch all sorts of neat outfits for my dolls. I have a beautiful doll's cradle that was given to me by my grandmother that I plan on using to help display these quilts at craft fairs. I hope to get into a juried craft show. The Centennial Charm quilt top arrived today. You're right its not in the   best of shape, but it has a found a home where it will be loved and appreciated for just what it is. I may someday do some restoration, but for now it is scheduled to by oohed and aahed over, by at least 5 different quilt guilds during 2000! I'll do my best to give it a good home. The stamp set award for the Easter Egg Hunt arrived a few moments ago and it's lovely. Thanks also for listing it as a gift on the green customs form. If anything is sent from the states and is listed as value $10.00 or less and as a gift our customs lets it pass but anything much over that and they convert the amount to Cdn. dollars, charge us 8% provincial and 7% goods and service tax on the Cdn. value and then another $5.00 fee to collect the amount. Just wanted you to know all of the fabric I've ordered from you has sewn up beautifully. The Civil War squares are in a patchwork throw Christmas gift for my daughter to take with her when she gets orders early next year...she's in the Coast Guard and is hoping for a tour on the east coast. The Auntie Lu print is in a quilt I'm just finishing hand-stitching for a baby gift in October. The Country Kitsch floral was divided w/my mom, who sewed it into a dress for one of her antique dolls. The Patriotic squares will be either used for a future project for my daughter or something for my husband who retired from the Navy after 30 yrs. (The Sock Hop squares will be used in a Christmas gift for him.) I need to come up with a project for our son and am sure your fabrics will inspire me. Am restoring a quilt my grandmother made 50+ years from scraps, old clothing and feedsacks, so the Feedsack Charms will come in handy. I just want you to know your fabrics are delightful and I truly appreciate the help you've given.  Thanks again...Mary
